DESCRIPTION:From their respective states of residence\, eight Convergente artists each bring a unique vision to the worlds of contemporary art\, from where they capture their transnational experiences and visually narrate how these experiences influence and shape the artistic practice.  The Tzompantili exhibit is a collective artistic introspection Inspired by the ancient Mesoamerican tradition of the Tzompantli\, which displayed human skulls in a ritual act intended to ensure the continuity of life\, Tzompantli Artistic Reflection 2024 is the fifth edition of this international exhibition. More than 160 artists from various parts of the world have created works in which they reinterpret this ancestral symbolism\, each using their personal technique and accompanying their artwork with a written reflection on the current year.

Kristen Gibbs is a classically trained harpist in Austin Texas who provides a variety of Music for any event including Weddings\, Private Parties\, and live public venues.  She is one of only a few Harp players in the Nation who incorporates Vocals while entertaining as a Solo Musician or with a Band.  Kristen plays a large variety of music styles including Pop\, Blues\, Country\, Classical\, and Christian. SUMMARY:The Swiftlet:  An Immigrant
DESCRIPTION:Free screening of “The Swiftlet:  An Immigrant”\, an experimental dramatic play created by the Nepali actor/director\, Subash B. Thapa\, based on the poem “The Swiftlet”\, written by renowned Nepali poet Keshav Raj Gnawali.   The poem describes a bird’s migration from his homeland and acceptance into a new land.  Mr. Thapa created a metaphorical interpretation that represents migrants\, not only on the Southern border of the US\, but globally as well\, with the goal of illuminating the humanistic view without the toxic political rhetoric.  Thus\, “The Swiftlet: An Immigrant” was born\, which is enhanced with music and dance in the style of Nepali folk fusion.
